I have felt the pain of being torn down and I have decided

I will be deliberate about building others!

Episode 1 - My Blackness is Beautiful!

William Roberts-Foster lives in Manhattan, NY.  He is the Senior Director, Ad Product Strategist (Peacock | NBC Universal).  His favorite colors are Red, Black and Green.  His favorite pastime is singing and cooking and his favorite quote is "The present was an egg laid by the past that had the future inside its shell" by Zora Neale Hurston.

Episode 2 - Black with a Capital B!

Malik lives in Harlem and works as a writer and editor for The Action Network. His favorite book is the Alchemist by Pablo Coelho, his favorite movie changes every 10 years, and in his spare time he dreams of the day James Dolan sells his beloved NY Knicks.


Episode 3 - We are NOT a Monolith!

Daniel P. Calderon is brand strategist, film producer and founder of Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow - who works with his clients to build brand marketing strategies and tells compelling stories through digital media platforms and film. Daniel and his team has worked with Target, Amazon, Inglot, Khiel’s and more. He executive produced his first short film – unapologetic me: Black | Gay | Man in 2018 – which has screened in over 7 film festivals and at Samsung Experience's 2018 NYC Pride programming. He also produced brand partnerships/strategy for and was featured in Kings America Made (2019), which has since won 2 film festival awards. His work at Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow supports entrepreneurship education within underserved digital and in-real-life communities.

Episode 4 - VOTE!!!

Tarence Farrell (aka T Farrell) is a music producer for Be More Today INC and Levite Music Group LLC with mixing, mastering and songwriting credits on various projects. Tarence was born in Queens NY. He is happily married with a son. His favorite movie series is The Avengers and he loves listening to motivational speakers. His favorite quote is “Discipline is sticking to the plan you created, long after the excitement is gone” - Unknown.


Episode 5 - My Skin is Beautiful!

Sanjay is a Middle school Principal in Orlando Florida.  His favorite colors are blue and red.  His favorite book is The Collected Autobiographies of Maya Angelou.  His favorite pastime is spending time with his wife and two sons.

 

 Episode 6 - The Threat Has Never Been Us!

Sean Anthony Thomas is a Licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy in NY and the C.E.O. of Be More Today, a fitness company geared toward educating and inspiring others to always stay on the move. Dr. Thomas is the Clinical Director of Rehabilitation at the Georgetown Jag-One Physical Therapy Office, serves as the Health Ministries Leader at Kingsboro Temple, and is an ordained Elder. Dr. Thomas is the author of the book “Be More Today: A 40-day Guide To A Better Version of You” and is the host of The Be More Today Show, a podcast featuring ordinary people doing extraordinary things.  


Episode 7 - We are Magic!

Troy Pennerman was born and raised in East Elmhurst Queens once the home to Malcolm X & Louis Armstrong! Troy is a construction worker who specializes in sound & fireproofing and loves his craft. He loves watching movies and listening to classical music. He is a father of 4 and a grandfather of 2. He loves Christ and believes in living his life to the fullest. He loves meeting new people and is always looking forward to the next WOW moment life can bring! Come on and catch me if you can. Blessings to all!

Episode 8 - The Gift of Being Black!

Preston is Queens born native New Yorker. He's an architect turned software developer who designs tech integrations for the built environment. He's a big geek with an interest in physics, high sci-fi and is currently re-reading his favorite book, "The Quantum & The Lotus". Imagine a guy with Colman Domingo's style and Will Smith's laugh and you're about 70% there. Still a proud member of #lawrencehive

 

Episode 9 - I Am a Protector!

James lives in Upper a Marlboro, MD.  He is a Homicide detective for the Metropolitan Police Department.  His favorite movie is Scarface starring Al Pacino.  His favorite pastime is spending time with his family and friends and his favorite quote is If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything by Alexander Hamilton.

Episode 10 - I’m BLACK and I’m Proud!

Dan the founder of “Leaders of the 21st Century”, a global-aspiring nonprofit whose mission is to develop civic minded youth leaders in urban communities and prepare them for the world of work through leadership and professional development. Taking his own life experiences as lessons that empower him to help others, his motivating ideology is “You Are What You Think.”  He is a social entrepreneur whose mission is to motivate and inspire others through tailored motivational speaking presentations and positive messages through clothing.


Episode 11 - Beauty in Our Blackness!

Jarrod Russ lives in Columbia, South Carolina. He is a recent graduate of Guilford College where he was a 4-year student-athlete. Jarrod is looking to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. Jarrod believes football is the greatest sport on the face of the earth.  He is a fan of any movie that can make him laugh and he is an avid podcast listener. His favorite quote is “Life is a series of moments and moments pass. So let’s make this one last as if it’s all that we have.” - Joe Budden

Episode 12 - I am the Smart One!

Steve A. Williams is the CTO of Medici Bank, with over 20 years of engineering experience in the Financial & Banking Industry. Steve is also a professional musician, composer and writer. He was born in St. Michael Barbados but currently resides in NYC with his lovely wife WendyAnn.

Kevin Jackson, co-owner of Before and After Salon, owner or Before and After Designs, singer,  songwriter, world traveler and child of God. Transforming lives one day at a time.

Episode 14 - Game Changers!

Dr. Valbrun is a strategist, entrepreneur, and a leader focused on the economic growth & development of the community. He serves in various initiatives as he aims to positively influence his community while leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come. He is the presiding Chair of Economic development for the greater Bridgeport NAACP. He is currently a practicing Chiropractor and in the process of achieving board certification in Neuromusculoskeletal Orthopedics.


Episode 15 - Do You Really See Me?

Sebastien Francois, stage name K-Proetic, has performed all over the tri-state area as well as Boston, Baltimore, etc for about 10 years with his group R.E.A.L Music. His biggest performance occurred in 2016 performing for 300 people at an event for the Honorable Louis Farrakhan's wife at the Robert Treat hotel in Newark, NJ. He has also graced the stages of Sounds of Brazil in New York, NY and Newark's Annual Weequahic Park Festival. His conscious, poetic style has been recognized by consulting agency, True-N-Livin with the People's Choice Award in 2019. Sebastien studied at Rutgers University in Newark and graduated with a degree in Journalism and Music in 2014 and is a native of Roselle and East Orange, NJ. 

Episode 16 - I’m Scared!

Jason Meyler is a Native of the Caribbean Country, Jamaica. In 2009 he Migrated to the States, making his childhood dream of becoming a pilot all that more achievable. Trying to break into a field where he had little to no exposure to while growing up, Jason has faced tremendous challenges that delayed him achieving his dream; one being the lack of aviation related information readily available to him. Through all his struggles Jason has made a lot of progress and is that much closer to achieving his goal. Jason is currently undergoing training to become a Naval Flight Officer and plans to use this opportunity to further his career in the aviation industry and inspire others who look like him.  He wants them to see that they could do the same as long as they are persistent. The journey has been hard for Jason, but not as hard as running around bare footed on rock roads in Jamaica. Jason fully believes that God hasn’t taken him this far for him not to achieve his goal.

Fredrick Russell is a professional coach—not for athletes, but for executives, businesswomen and businessmen—leaders. He designs and facilitates leadership and management development programs, teaches interpersonal skills, develops cohesive teams, works as an executive coach, delivers keynote speeches and consults on leadership development for organizations of all types and sizes. He founded the True North Leadership Group in 2005 to foster responsible, character-driven leadership and help others understand its critical role in strengthening families, businesses and communities.  Fredrick’s intense interest in leadership grew out of many years of leading various organizations and being intentional about developing the leaders around him.

Episode 18 - I Love My Black Life!

I am Olivier Francois, but my stage name is O. Live. I am from East Orange, NJ and I am a rapper and spoken word artist. I am also a part of a four-man collective called R.E.A.L. I perform musically with my twin brother and my two cousins. We like to consider ourselves alternative hip hop artists that focus on personal and social issues in our music.


Episode 19 - Black & Extraordinary!

Livingston Steele is a 29-year-old actor born and raised in Newark, NJ. Steele started his acting career as a supporting actor in an award-winning independent film “SAVIOR”. He also spent a year doing off-Broadway theater productions, ending the year leading the production “It Was Yesterday”. In 2017, he played the main character in the stage reading of “Conscious” written by Kim Singleton. In 2018, he was able to lead “Conscious” at the New York Theatre Summer Festival. Currently, he is training in the Meisner technique developing his craft as an actor. Steele will be playing the main character Jason in the suspense short film “IN MY SOLITUDE” that is set to release in 2020.

 

Episode 20 - I Feel Your Fear!

Warner Miller is an actor living in Brooklyn NY.  His favorite past time is watching fantasy, sci-fi, adventure genre movies.  He also enjoys movies and biking.  His favorite book quote is "The true soldier fights not because he hates what's in front of him, but because he loves what's behind him." ~ GL Chesterton.  Warner wholeheartedly believes "I have learned more about God observing children than from any volume of philosophy." ~ GK Chesterton
